Overview

LaUnión is a strategic trade gateway in El Salvador, offering a direct connection to the Atlantic Coast o Honduras via the Dry Canal, just 371 km from Puerto Cortés. With 3 berthing areas, the terminal handles both containerized and general cargo, supporting regional and international trade.

Following the completion of the terminal takeover, La Unión now operates under a 50-year concession agreement, ensuring long-term development and investment. The port has 5 RTGs, warehouses, containers and general cargo yards, along with custom-built facilities for administration, assistance, and ferry operations. These modern infrastructures make La Unión a key logistics hub in Central America.

The Port of La Unión focuses its dedication to making modernization efforts, including dredging operations and the acquisition of cutting-edge equipment such as cranes, loaders, and backhoe excavators.
