Gemport to Handle Hatchback Egeas
Gemport succeeds in a yet another car-handling activity with its dedicated Ro-Ro facility.Exporting its new Egeas model from Gemport Terminal since 2015, FIAT has began to export its hatchback version by February,2016. One of the biggest automotive exporters of Turkey, Fiat is planning to export 700K cars in collaboration with Gemport during the year.
The output of 3-years development process and $520 million investment, first Egea was loaded into Grande Italia vessel and sent to European market on 18.11.2015 under the control of Gemport’s operations previously. This export move will significantly improve Ro-Ro volume of Gemport and will further consolidate our mutual benefit partnership with FIAT.
