Garip and Zeycan YILDIRIM Foundation
The Yıldırım family having a half century old corporate culture, established the Garip & Zeycan Yıldırım Foundation in 2015, in order to transfer their industrial and economic power to the development of the Turkish people in the field of education, health and culture.
Garip Yıldırım, who is the namesake of the foundation, got a start in business with establishing his first corporation in Samsun in 1963 and with the extensive trading knowledge that he had earned, led his children Ali Rıza, Robert Yuksel and Mehmet getting a start in business together. Yıldırım Group proceeds to the future today with the common sense, awareness and values inherited from their families.
In order to perform its activities with the utmost efficiency in line with its objectives, the foundation gave priority to establishing its organization and administrative structure in its first year. The foundation focused on education, and awarded scholarships to 35 students in 2015-2016 education year.
In accordance with the scholarship regulations of the Foundation, 70 students are targeted to receive scholarships in 2016-17 education year. The Foundation's scholarships are offered in seven categories; undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, outstanding achievement and talent, foreign language, education abroad, preparation for university and to students with disabilities. Garip and Zeycan Yildirim Foundation’s scholarships are not bound to any compulsory service or repayment obligation.
2016 HIGHLIGHTS
The social, cultural, artistic, sports and environmental protection activities YILDIRIM has undertaken since its founding are an integral part of its corporate culture. Children and young people have always been important for YILDIRIM Holding. In addition to vocational and technical schools we built and commit to build, we offer scholarships to successful children, and we invest in young athletes to support youth development. We have found the possibility of reviewing and observing the regions we invest in and develop solutions to the problems in education, sports and cultural activities. Being in close relationships with the community is also intrinsic to YILDIRIM's corporate value.

2017 GOALS AND HIGHLIGHTS
Upcoming objectives of the foundation will be to realize the projects which will contribute to the rapid development of Türkiye in the field of education, health and culture. Primarily in 2017, the main assets and donations collected for the foundation will be increased and later on, with the help of these extra capabilities, more complex and large scale projects and steady programs will put into effect. School donation projects, which are carried out by our Group companies throughout different regions of Türkiye, will be monitored and supported closely by the foundation.
Garip & Zeycan Yıldırım Foundation plans to realize the following programs in the medium and long term, with the help of the income, provided from our founders, Yıldırım Group Companies and other contributors: Educational institutions, health institutions, social and cultural centers, seven different types of scholarship programs, awards and competitive programs on education, arts and sports, sponsorship of arts and cultural activities, organizations and activities such as conferences, symposiums and seminars.
The aim of the foundation will be to erect new institutions by planning down to the last detail, so that they maintain the quality of services at the highest level. The institutions bearing the name of the foundation will act as a model for the society. The foundation aims to become a beacon for the educational, health and cultural world in Türkiye.
