YILPORT Puerto Bolivar Projects Update 2019

THE FIRST & ONLY DEEPSEA TERMINAL OF ECUADOR

1)DREDGING (2019)

WHERE WE ARE AT THE MOMENT

We divided our Phase 1 Dredging works into twosteps, with a break due to whale season. 

Up to now, we deepened;

Berth # 3, # 4 to -12.50 m (MLWS)

Access Channel to -13.80 m (MLWS)

Turning Basin to -13.80 m (MLWS)

Berth #5 to -14.50 m * (MLWS)

 WHAT IS NEXT IN 2019?*

After the First Step completed in 31 May 2018, in the Second Step of Phase 1 of Dredging works we plan to continue our dredging works.

 *Please note that the schedules  in this document may be subject to change under certain circumstances.

We will deepen**;

  • Access Channel to -15 m (MLWS)
  • Turning Basin to -15 m (MLWS)
  • Berth #5 to -14.50 m (MLWS) (with +0.50m tolerance;15 m)

Project End Date: 31 May 2019

**Only indicates the dredging works to be terminated in 2019. 

 

2) BERTH #6 CONSTRUCTION

After 2019, with the construction of our 450 m long New Berth #6, we’ll reach to -16.5 (MLWS) draft not only in Berth #6 but also in access channel and turning basin.

 

 Targeted End Date : 31 May 2020*

-16.50 m Draft in Access Channel  

New 450m long quay structure that will be constructed for Berth 6 will connect to the existing Berth 5.

 This new berth located north of existing Berth 5 will be built for container storage and handling, including the required stacking yards, roads, buildings and utilities.

After the Construction of Berth #6, We’ll Reach -16.50 m draft in Access Channel, Turning Basin and the Berth

 

 

3) EQUIPMENT INVESTMENT

WHERE WE ARE AT THE MOMENT?

In May 2017, 2 state-of-the-art mobile harbor cranes (MHC) with an outreach of up to 52 metres arrived at YILPORT Puerto Bolivar and operational since then.

Current Equipment: 2 MHC, 5 RS, 25TT

WHAT IS NEXT IN 2019?

2 more state-of-the-art mobile harbor cranes (MHC) with an outreach of up to 58 metres,will arrive in 2019 to increase effectivity on vessel operations.

 

 

4) NAVIS IMPLEMENTATION

Taking the terminal needs into consideration, N4 will be implemented both for container and general cargo operations in YILPORT Puerto Bolivar

YILPORT PUERTO BOLIVAR OPTIMIZES ITS OPERATIONS WITH NAVIS IN 2019

YILPORT Puerto Bolivar will complete implementaion of Terminal Operating System Navis N4 in order optimize;

 

  • The planning and management of container and equipment moves at the terminal,
  • Container handling equipment utilization,
  • Yard utilization, vessel planning
  • Automize crane scheduling and monitoring

TOS Deployment

All technical and systematic support will be provided by YILPORT TOS Deployment Team during and after Navis implementation.

YILPORT Global Logistics Center (GLC)

YILPORT’s centralized center (GLC) located in Turkey will be ready to give 7/24 support in planning and data reporting flow of YILPORT Puerto Bolivar Operations to provide best real-time monitoring.

 

 

5) COLD STORAGE WAREHOUSE

Project Details

CSW will be dedicated to banana and shripms and these products will handled and stored at the are. Fully ripe bananas (yellow and soft) and consumer ready packed and deep-frozen shrimps will be stored in storage cells of 16 x 20 m (width x length). Each storage cell will include a racking system capable of stacking pallets 3 high.

The construction of the area is expected to end in 2019

6) SHRIMP INSPECTION AREA

This area which will be dedicated to only Shrimp Inspections is designed in line with YILPORT Puerto Bolivar’s projection of transporting more frozen shrimp cargo through the terminal.

The construction of the area is expected to end in 2019.

7) GLOBAL YILPORT SOLUTIONS

DELTA BILLING SYSTEM: The Commercial Billing Module of Yılport Holding, Delta, has a direct connection with Terminal Operational Systems, ERP programs and CRM Modules by by matching all the data it receives with tariff items and create proforma bills.

INFINITY: YILPORT’s container-tracking system designed to allow our customers to see real time container information in the terminal will be available in YILPORT Puerto Bolivar. As Infinity is directly connected to our terminal operating system (Navis), real-time momentary data will easily be accessed.

GLOBAL LOGISTICS CENTER: The center, which aims to provide the most appopriate, accurate and swift support to YILPORT portfolio will be effective in YILPORT Puerto Bolivar as well. Planning and Data Reporting units will be ready to support the terminal.

SAP SYSTEM: The system ensuring that information flows from one SAP component to another without the need for redundant data entry will help YILPORT Puerto Bolivar to have total control over all business processes.
