New Era at YILPORT Taranto (SCCT): Terminal Welcomes Ro-Ro Vessel
A proud moment to celebrate!
YILPORT Taranto (SCCT) welcomed its Ro-Ro vessel, successfully discharging a total of 830 vehicles, transported by the Turkish shipping line ErkPort, and destined for the Algerian market.
The unloading process of the 1st shipment went off without a hitch, reaching a peak of 125 vehicles per hour.
Recently, the journey of the 2nd shipment has come to an end at YILPORT Taranto (SCCT), with an additional 700 vehicles currently being disembarked.
The arrival of this Ro-Ro vessel marks a 1st for the Taranto Port as it has now stepped into vehicle shipping, which requires big onshore space for cargo handling and storage. YILPORT Taranto (SCCT) has proved that its yard is the perfect fit for this type of operation.
