YILPORT Continues Global Investment Momentum with 53 New E-Hybrid RTG Crane Orders from Konecranes

Istanbul, Türkiye – July 2026 – YILPORT Holding, the 10th largest international container terminal operator and a leading global terminal operator, has agreed to order a total of 53 E-Hybrid Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG) cranes from Konecranes, reinforcing its long-term growth strategy, sustainability ambitions, and well-established global partnership with one of the world’s leading port equipment manufacturers.

The order is based on a Letter of Intent signed between the parties and covers RTG deployments across four YILPORT-operated terminals in Europe, Africa, and Central America, supporting capacity growth, automation, and lower-emission operations:

  • 10 Automated E-Hybrid RTGs for YILPORT Liscont (Portugal)
  • 10 Automated E-Hybrid RTGs for YILPORT Leixões (Portugal)
  • 18 E-Hybrid RTGs for UpdP(El Salvador)
  • 15 E-Hybrid RTGs for YILPORT ATSL-Takoradi (Ghana)

Deliveries are planned to take place in optimized batches, with an estimated delivery window of approximately 16 to 22 months, depending on terminal location and project sequencing.

The automated E-Hybrid RTGs to be deployed at YILPORT Liscont and YILPORT Leixões in Portugal, together with the E-Hybrid RTGs planned for UPdP Terminal in El Salvador and YILPORT ATSL-Takoradi in Ghana, underline YILPORT’s clear commitment to zero-carbon and energy-efficient equipment technologies while ensuring high productivity, safety, and operational reliability across its terminals.

The cranes are designed with a 7+1-wide and 6-over-1-high configuration. All cranes will feature E-Hybrid, battery-supported systems designed to enable zero-carbon operations.
